It is a straightforward job requiring no special tools. It can be a bit fiddly getting access to the airlines at the top of the bags to get them in and out, but it's not too bad. They might need a bit of encouragement to release at the tops too - I used a crowbar on mine.

You need to depressurise the air springs before you do it. The easiest way to do this is using the EAS unlock software, but I believe that you can just pull the airline out. Alternatively you can short out some pins on the EAS ECU to do it.

There are a couple of excellent walkthroughs on here somewhere - do a search. Dunno why they haven't been made stickies - they really should be.

Hi,
You'll need a trolley jack with a decent lift height and a couple of good axle stands.
You should be able to depressuise the system enough by dropping the suspension to access level before jacking the back end up (leave the tailgate open to stop the system pumping it back up). If you have the very early airbags with metal ends you'll need a long thin cold chisel to chop off the retaining clips as they'll probably be corroded solid. May take several goes pulling and pushing on the airlines to get them to release. I used a short length of rigid plastic tube with a notch cut in the side to depress the collett thats holding the airline in. Stick a bit of cling film over the airline end to stop dirt getting in. Its a pretty straightforward job.

I can send you an idiots guide with photo's if it will help. You will need 2 jacks, one to raise the corner of the car you are working on and one to support/raise the axle.

johnrolo, i done my back left in an hour, simple job, lower car 2 access level, leave t boot or a door open with t engine off. jack axle remove wheel, now lower axle on to a stand, now jack t chassis slightly, remove all securing pins and t air line that can be t tricky part, clean off all t dirt first , cover t pipe with cling film now jack t chassis higher and pop out t bag, refit is t reverse, last thing is restart t engine, get her up and check for leaks with soapy water, this worked for me 3 times, 1 bag was done when i got her a year ago this wk .pat
