heres one for ya, i changed my blend motors 3 or 4 months ago and all was well for a while then a few weeks back the damn book came on again. i plugged it back in to the rovacom to find it said the distribution blend motor had stalled during self test, when i forced it from cold it only went so far then stalled again. turns out the mechanism was too stiff for the blend motor to turn it so i spent the next few hours spraying silicone spray over the distribution flaps and mechanisms to free the fooking thing up. has any one else had to do this or am i the only lucky one:rolleyes:.

Not new,at all..... Have a look on www.rangerovers.net - P38 bit and look at the bit about freeing off dist flaps with a self tapping screw.I first posted this ages ago and have done loads since - it works.

theres more than one flap, i took the centre vents out and sprayed some down there too. mine was already well stripped because i was doing the blend motors again or so i thought, it took fooking ages with the silicone spray. spray and move the lever full cycle and then repeat for some time untill free:yawn:.
