Bit of work done over the past few days. Plated up the hole in the passenger foot well and painted a few odds and sods on the car. Need this rain to **** off so i can crack on with my zorst!

Hey Tom, im in yardley wood now. Used to live in chelmsley wood so yeah i know marston green :)

Gotta paint the diffs, slam panel support bars. Maybe props too im not sure yet. Oh and springs as soon as i get a replacement jack

Lots of work done over past few days. Been a busy day and cba to go through all the minor details of how i did what.

Made up a custom grill from a sheet of ally (yes it looks restrictive, its a WIP)

Finished fabbing and mounting my exhaust stack. Mounting is made from old chassis metal and some 13mm BDMS. Sandwiched between the mounting plates is some 3mm neoprene foam to aid with vibration.

Exhaust stack is 63mm flexi stainless welded to odds and sods of random disco exhaust.

Had to modify the slam panel slightly cus the wings had moved closer together and i couldnt get the slam panel and grille surround in. Shouldnt be noticable.

Pics!

Well i'll try this one for size and keep that one as a spare :)

The exhaust will stay green for about 5 miles im betting. Any longer and i'll be very surprised. It is 2k paint though so it should do pretty well with heat unless its extreme.

Jai, i'll grind that and run a pretty bead down it just for you

I like the old doors aswell but the price of door cards are unbelievable.

Weld up to you matey. No need to do it for me I won't be in your mota!

Mot tomorrow. Done carious other niggles over the past couple of weeks. Sorted out all the wiring for lights, horn and dash etc. Put the grill and number plate on. cable tied up all the brake lines and harness etc. Sprayed and cut the load tray etc. Last few pics :)

Nope, brake pads, window wipers and a hole in the chassis. Thats the offiical fail.

Advisories are steering box oil seal leaking.

Thats the official stuff. Unofficial stuff....

Alot of welding and tidying to do on the chassis, None of which is either mine or Si's but all the DPO's efforts that i had overlooked without the aid of a pit. Advised to get new seat belts as mine are starting to fray in places, new instrument stalks as mine are ****, sort out gearbox bias springs, rust treat the chassis as its starting to corrode in places. Jus odds and sods really. I will do alot of the suggestions he has made, as it is an ongoing project and i want it in the best condition possible.. watch this space
