offroading today at bordon and me tyre started losing air around the rim.helpfull guy with a huge unimog said well fix that for ya..took me wheel off and put the wheel on the floor in front of his mog..got me hilift out and put it on the tyre and jacked up under the front of the mog untill the tyre popped..then cleaned all the mud from the tyre and rim.and then reinflated using his onboard air compressor pumped it up again, job done would never thought of doin that..there will be some piccys on the awdc website soon.

nearly bort a unimog last year, tis just the thing if yer want onboard compressed air, hydraulics and generator, great off road too, yeah loads of people use a highlift fer busting tyres off, i inflated mine last time with a can of easy start and a lighter, yer have to get the air line on quick tho or it will go down quick as the expanded gas goes down.

yeah ther a good machine, bloke i kno has one as a tractor, pto front and back , shift like **** on the road too, hold ther price tho, thats the prob, even the older ones, thats why i dint get one in the end , ended up with another series 2.

Incredible machines, but the new Black Edition has got to be the most Bug ugly off roader.

pikey had a post up of him using a hi-lift to break the bead and remove the tyres from the rim. I also have an air compressor hard wired into my 90 along with the kit to remove tyres :) Unimogs are nice (expensive) but you dont need one to change a tyre!

you do when you aint got the kit to do the tyre..his compressor was huuuge not like the tmaxx type jobbies you normally see..it inflated the tyre from flat in seconds..it was just summit id never seen before especially out in the mud
