nervous before i chop me disco up

need to "trim" my arches to fit my new tyres on (more like massacre), now the front look simple enough but im concerned about the back as its got rear doors, how do i go about doin them?? also im after a spacer to fit a insa turbo special track 265/75/16 tyre on the spare carrier can anyone point me the right way??

Turn the spare wheel carrier upside down and the insa will fit without the need for a spacer.

I sliced mine up with a grinder. Only needed to do the rearmost bit of the rear wheel arches. Have a look behind before you cut in case there's any wires or anything behind there then hack away. Take it for a drive then hack some more off if needed.

cheers roy, they was very informative, was trying to avoid arch covers but may come to them in the end, thanks alot mate

I used a reciprocating saw and then covered with truck arches and used expanding foam to fill gap in doors . Doors could have been tidier am currently looking for something to cover it up.

theyll be alright on the tarmac anyway! youll only notice it when yer go over speed bumps hahahahaha!

****! im noticin it just goin round corners, speed bumps create alot of fear the bodys goin to detatch from the the chassis haha

when i fitted 235/85's to mine i just had to take off the front bumper endcaps and trim the rear wheel arch.
When you take of the endcaps, you might what to trim the remaining triangle of bumper left over (you'll know when you do it) to make it look a bit better.
I've seen a post somewhere which shows quite well where/how to cut the rear arches. Make sure when you do do them, that you leave a bit of excess to fold under so you're not left with a sharp edge.

May wish to think about extended bump stops if its lifted aswell as mine used to bottom out when going a bit "fast " over speedbumps and big dips off-roading

The bit in there about angle grinders being no good is bollix. You just need to use super thin cutting discs.

and i dont need to chop mine!
