The police are quite hot on checking too... having being pulled whilst towing a trailer, if i hadn't got the B+E i would have been properly fooked, but, as i did, it wasn't too bad (ok still a few issues, 80mph in the outside lane of a motorway with a trailer is not ideal...)

Think mine cost £361 in total with 2 days training and trailer hire (had a mirror on the frint so you can see the towbar too really! Useful :) )

Just do it youve got it forever thwn , you've got no chance to tow legally as you are as its all on mam weight

Not quite for ever, you lose it a 70 unless you take a regular medical.

I took a B+E driving course and test last year...cost 500 I think but I needed it quick and without hassle. 2days altogether and worth it. I don't advise taking the test without a course...for starters you need to make sure your car+trailer meet all the criteria and is properly configured for it with lights etc. Also, my instructor said that 2014 onwards the test must be with a loaded trailer...load needs to be properly secured etc. If you dont want much hassle get an instructor.

Same with normal licence though yes ?
No, normal licence is renewable every 3 years from 70 with just a declaration of fitness to drive. Pretty pointless really, they don't seem to know people lie:rolleyes:
I let the B+e go on my UK licence as I have a French licence with B+e for which I have had to have to have a medical every 2 years since 65. I prefer to have my fitness confirmed:D I need to keep B+e for the caravan, bit daft really, I could drive a fecking great motorhome on a standard car licence:rolleyes:
