I can't tell if this thread is related to me or not too. :(

Twasn't that long ago when I did my Penelope Pitstop impression and then a stand doon because the AA man was able to recover me from t'mud. I feel guilty whenever I see this thread. D:

Fuse num 11 has to be inserted under driver seat to be able to tow .its the top right hand one . Display will come up select transfer neutral. Then safe to tow auto,s only . I know it's a wile ago but for reference worth knowing. It certainly had me confused when a mate put the fuse in place for a laugh without saying anything

P38 autos only
I put a discreet switch wired to fuse 11 (with inline fuse) as a kind of kill switch cos key theft is getting a common way of pinching cars now, so even the best alarms are pointless.
The theory is if it wont go in gear it aint going nowhere! It'll confuse the #### out of the average car theaf and the reving of the engine will wake us :D

Minty I agree that posters should state in first post if a breakdown service has been called.

They can then post their request for help/advice about their problem, just in case it's an easy remedy like this one, and secondly if there is information, again like this case, which might help the Breakdown company.

Finally, at busy times, breakdown companies can take over an hour to get to you. If it's a simple fix, and a member nearby can help sooner then a call to LZIR is worth it.

Having been both sides o the fence so to speak  :D

Being male alone or otherwise you int a priority and rightly so.

When I broke down on M way couple o years ago I knew LZIR wouldn't be able to recover me but hoped either someone would have an injector loom kicking about or knew where I could get one or even pick one up for me and drop it off where I was being recovered to..

My point is

By all means ask the poster if recovery company has been called and estimated time of arrival. But still be on stand by cos I for one have never been got going again yet from roadside help from any breakdown/recovery company

Oddly enough in the past I've even told the operator exactly what I need to get going again and still had to have a piggy back cos they didn't have the part or the info never got passed on.
