Hi all. Is there anyone in the north manchester area with a kicker or eas software that could reset my eas fault for me. I have had it checked at a landrover garage and it is working fine. Thinks it is a faulty connection which I haven't managed to track down yet. They reset it for me but it has come back on.
Cheers in advance.

when it first came on i took it to a land rover garage and he said it had a lot of faults logged ( i have only had the car for a few weeks). he checked them and cleared them all. A week later it came on again. It didn't drop to the stops this time so i took it back to the garage. they said it had a compressor fault logged but after testing it, it was running fine. They reckoned it is a corroded connection on the loom causing the fault.
now it has come on again. it has not dropped to the stops but it is low. it is not showing the ' Max 35mph' on the dash but have been told the eas will not function whilst the fault light is on.
I intend to buy the software and cable but don't get paid untill friday and have to use it for work this week.
I have got 4 valves that have been teed off the hoses next to the compressor which i assume are for inflating manually but am reluctant to mess with these just in case.

Compressor could be weak due to leaking airsprings but I don't recall a specific compressor fault, only pressure signal constantly Hi.

Usual problem at this age is leaking airbags, they have a life of 7/8 years 80K miles. The compressor then fails due to overwork feeding the leaks.
Corrosion in the loom sounds like an excuse for "we haven't a clue". Normally the only place where corrosion is a problem is the connectors to the height sensors.
Unfortunately you cannot check the compressor as it will not run until the fault is cleared.
If you go back to the dealer, you need a print out of the faults.

PM Datatek with your details and get him to send you a lead (About £11 Plus Postage IIRC) when you get paid....you should be fine to use the maunal valves for the next 5/6 days, just don't overfill the air bags....take a tape measure with you and inflate slowly until you reach standard ride height (470mm from centre of wheel rim to centre of wheel arch)....

Once you have the lead and Software from Datatek you will be able to clear all faults, run diagnotics and recalibrate ride heights yourself....

Also you'll be able to post screenshots of the faults on here for the guru's Datatek and Wammers to help you with....

Use the manual valves, measure your ride heights, and order the lead on Friday!

That's funny, don't know what diagnostics he was using but i have never seen a compressor fault recorded. As a matter of fact i don't think there can be. Unless he is mistaking "Pressure signal constantly high/low" as a compressor fault which it isn't. The ECU has no way of monitoring the compressor.

cheers guys for your replies. my head is spinning now. just when i thought i was starting to understand my new beast.... bam!
Back to the drawing board!!!
Will order the cable as soon as i get paid.
cheers again

Does the lead and software tell you exactly what is wrong? or just point you in the right direction? Is it easy for a novice to use?
