need a part number for a seal

so I have the slipping clutch issue & obviously need to pull the gear box & unseize the clutch actuating lever - but since I will need a new seal & can't find the part online I need the info - part number or a pointer at a site where I can get the seal.

Anyone help me out (casting furtive glances in the Nodge direction obviously)?

Have you tried freeing the actuator in situ ?

Which seal?

wont get a chance to do any work on it till saturday - a big hammer will be the first tool out of the box but I'm getting ready to do a clutch replacement anyways so ...

the one in the bell housing where the rod goes in mate

I don't recall there being a seal in there. There is a bronze bush which supports the release lever shaft.
If the shaft is greased with moly grease when fitting, then at stays free for years.

clutch release lever was seized - angle grinder said hello to 27mm impact socket to cut out 2 adjacent faces - socket & breaker bar made short work of freeing up the shaft from the bell housing. Plenty of Plusgas, obvously. 20 mins of working it back and forth got it properly freed up.

Clutch now has it's normal biting point back and now random over revving has gone - the clutch slave cylinder bracket got itself all bent out of shape whilst the release lever was seized so a bit of bashing and a dab or two of judiciously applied weld on some small fractures sorted that out

Quite relieved not to have to drop the gear box - don't mind having a go at a big job like that but I like to have a long weekend at least.

Thanks for finishing off the thread.

Now to keep the lever free, lubricate it every year with a couple of drops of engine oil. This is best done at the same time the engine oil is changed, using some spare oil for clutch release lever lubrication.
