Need a Disco moving from Newcastle Shropshire to Stourbridge

At £1000 a mile the cost would be £83000 are you serious.
I suspect you mean £1 a mile. We would need to contact the man selling the Disco to see when he can be there. He is called Dave Roberts in case he is familiar. We also need to pay him the remainder of the cost so we might have to go too.
Our postcode is DY8 3YG his garage postcode is SY7 8PB or his house is SY7 8QL the Discovery is in a field nearby.

If its drivable book it in for MOT local to you make sure you have insurance and drive it back,not legal but easy to do.

It wouldn't work, you can't book it in for an mot at the other side of the country and drive it there legally. You might get away with it if you don't go past an anpr camera or you might have it taken off you and crushed. Your choice.

Someone I know asked DVLA/VOSA if there was a limitation on distance travelled when going for an MOT, and was told there wasn't a limit.....I know its not credible in any way but worth checking!
As for tax, you can drive a car to an MOT without tax, as you need an MOT to get tax...

Your MOT certificate : Directgov - Motoring
It is generally an offence to use on a public road, a vehicle of testable age that doesn’t have a current test certificate, except when:
taking it to a test station for an MOT test booked in advance
bringing it away from a test station after it has failed the MOT test, to a place of repair
taking it to a place, by previous arrangement, where problems that caused the vehicle to fail its MOT test, can be repaired
bringing it away from a place where the problems with the vehicle have been repaired
Even in the above circumstances you may still be prosecuted for driving an unroadworthy vehicle if it doesn’t comply with various regulations affecting its construction and use. Your car insurance may also be invalid.
The police can ask to see an MOT certificate for a vehicle that needs to have one. They also have access to the computerised records of MOT test results and can tell if the MOT certificate for your vehicle has expired.
It is your responsibility as the vehicle owner to ensure that the due MOT test is carried out in time. You can subscribe to the text reminder service
