hi all im thinking of buying a nanocom but a bit bewilderd as to what i need ,i have a 1999 dse so do i just need to buy a Nanocom Evolution for EDC P38 at GBP £354.35 (incl. VAT)???? also there is a NANOCOM unlock code for P38 Systems at GBP £100.52 (incl. VAT) and a NANOCOM unlock code for Bosch EDC at GBP £49.75 (incl. VAT) also there is a NANOCOM MK1 Programmer including 10MHZ Quartz Resonator at GBP £41.62 (incl. VAT) is this needed to up date device?? are the unlock codes in the original unit or are these needed as well?? thanks joseph

As far as I understand you just need the first item, EDC is electronic diesel control. The P38 Unlock codes are for the situation where you bought the Nanocom for a different model I think. For example if you ordered your Nanocom for V8 petrol and you now want it for diesel it will cost you £49.75 to update. You definately do NOT need the MK1 Programmer

If you are still not sure I will check it out with BBS tomorrow.

There are two Nanocoms the Mk1 and the Evolution. Forget the MK1, you need Nanocom Evolution for EDC. It will come to you for around £396.00 delivered. Excellent piece of kit. Programmer is for MK1 you don't need it.

I asked the same question to BBS and they say you only need the EDC as it will do all the other jobs.
