Nanocom functionality

I recently purchased a nano com evo on the group buy. One of the main reasons I got it was to be able to resync the alarm code if required. However this function is in the becm menu and locked, so how do I access it ? I am guessing more cash........

BECM> Settings >Alarm > Last screen, Press EKA. Enter EKA. Press OK. Press Exit. Press "Write settings". That may do it for you.
Resync. EDC > Utility > "Security learn".

Look like I have the basic functionality, it won't allow me into the becm settings, looks like another 100 quid according to the black box website.

You should have received three codes one is the unit ident, one is for EDC. One is for BECM and other functions. Did you only get EDC code.

When you go on Nanocom site in restricted area how many things do you see in your licence list. You should see ID Product number then licence 7 and licence 8. If you have full functionality.

Does the unit need to be conneceted to the pc to get access to the restricted bit ?
It isn't showing on the normal site (or I can't find it )

No when you got your Nanocom you should have gotten a access code to the restricted area on Nanocom site. Or a Email address to contact them with. They will then send you an access code for the restricted area. You put in your Email address and the access code then you can view your licences. Write them down and go to Nanocom setup on the Nanocom and input the codes.

Log back on to the restricted area with your password they sent you and check the codes

Ok, thanks for that, got in, and yes id, and 2 licences. still no access to becm fuctions however, looks like i need an additional code for the becm functions. I will email them to ask.

I have Licence 7, 8 and the ID code, should that do it ?

If you have entered the licences correctly you should have all the functions. Are you pressing BECM and getting function locked? Or are you going to BECM and it says BECM is locked? If that is the case you cannot unlock it with Nanocom. You can lock a new BECM but you CANNOT unlock a locked one. Have you put the licence codes into the Nanocom?

becm menu (after HEVAC) has a padlock symbol on it.

Yes but you have to put them in the Nanocom they don't come pre loaded. Got to Nanocom > setup> unlock codes> scroll down and enter them in positions 7 and 8.

Thanks Wammers, did all that on the day I got it, I will however get it back in and double check.

They all have that just press it and it should let you in.

Hi again Wammers, went and pushed BECM and it said it couldnt read the ECU, all other functions working fine.

Couldnt read or couldnt communicate with?
