nanacom Td5 on v8

Just a quickie, got a nanacom for my td5 , but somone has asked me if it would work for the there v8 , i know the engine part would not work , but could i use it for the cassis inputs/readings, as hes wonts to run the ABS bleeding tests . Or would it mess them both up , has anyone tried it .

You can use it for all systems except the engine management

I'm fairly sure that when I first bought my Nanocom I was given 3 unlock codes for the Disco 2 with it. From the list below, they were Code 1, Code 3 and Code 5. This would imply that a Nanocom unlocked for a Disco 2 doesn't care whether it's a Td5 or a V8.
