Great, thank you James. I randomly came across a pic online of the pins that go in S1/2 door hinges which look similar, but my S3 has the later hinges so definitely not that!

Yep. I have a few different ones. Old wallpaper came with a scrap edge that needed removing. Once cut to length the paper was layed on the paste table and the slot/guide in the trimmer slipped over the edge. You can adjust the distance between the slot and the two cutting wheels by sliding the guide up and down the rods. You simply run the guide down the edge and the wheels cut either side of the paper.

Looks like it, but pretty sure it's too big to fit through the backing plate. If it is too big then definitely not. I'll have a look next tme I'm there.
