Hi,just checked, map sensor is already in position is there anything else that springs to mind,it obviously goes somewhere on the left side of the engine compartment, cant find anywhere that seems to be missing a plug !

Post the wire colours......

brown/yellow and grey/green will be off the air temp sensor for the FBH located in front of the rad.

The wiring for the FBH is present even if one isn't fitted.
The connectors for the FBH, fuel pump, and temp sensor are usually just taped out of the way.

plug 003.JPGHi,another freelander another mystery plug, this one comes up by the fuel rail sensor on three short wires which are yellow/white,blue/black and brown/green,no obvious place to fit,do you think its just a plug for a higher spec model? this one is a 04 td4 sport.cheers for your input.

when looking on sales leaflets for LR, they describe around 115 optional extras for the freelander, I would imagine the wiring loom is made as standard to take everything, leaving plugs/sockets unused all over the place, my take on it is, unless you find this plug before ever driving it, why worry, it obviously don't need to be plugged into something for the car to work

That plug was for the fuel rail pressure sensor - looks as if the overlay harness has been fitted to your car and therefore it is not needed
