Mystery Hot running

Hi all,
My 300 has developed a wierd hot running issue, whereby it sits above halfway by a needles width on the guage, when sitting on the dual carriageway in 5th at around 55mph. I have tried bleeding the system and can find no traces of leaks, engine is not down on power and coolant is not pressurising, so hopefully not HG! I have replaced rad, stat and water pump to no avail? Any ideas?

Could try a new sender unit, others use an infra red thermometer that you point at various bits to see actual temperature and if indeed it is hot/overheating

What temp did it used to sit at?
Bleeding them is only relevant when they are filled after work on engine/rad etc, once stat has opened and level stabilised thats it they are self bled.
Viscous fan still fitted? does the fan actually work?
