Hi all. Am new to this forum. I have owned a 2004 td4 which have been fantastic for the past four years. Recently it cut out on me a day after returning from long trip up north.
After reading various threads here, I decided to change the fuel filter. The fuel pump under the wheel arch runs ok. The car starts and would drive for afew minutes then juddering and cuts off and then won't fire up again.
Please someone out there help. I have various spanners just need someoneto point me to the right direction.

I'd check the rail sensor plug for corrosion, and see if it's got a black plug, or a green plug. If green then it's had the replacement harness fitted, so it's unlikely to be the issue.

Also check the MAF sensor by unplugging it, to see if it starts again.

Do you have access to a diagnostic device that can read the live sensor data? This would go a long way to diagnosing the issue.
