If you get them galvanised, all the tubes, including the small ones, need holes in them both sides of the tube (front to rear, not top to bottom) to allow the air to be released as they are dipped into the hot galv. If there is no holes the galvanisers just use oxy cutting gear to blast them in. On the plus side as there is two holes in them the galv can run out and even though the items have been thouroughly coated in galv and you wont be charged for item bieng full of galv on the inside as some charge by weight before and after.

Yu need to do this to the ends to make em look right. & some peeps turn the ends inwards towards the wheel arches.
