Probably only by name, I doubt there a member of the Gates family that works there now, it started going down hill when old man Gates died when I worked there, 40 years ago.

Haven't noticed a cafe there in many a year...the A12/A406/M11 junction/flyover took care of most of the little local businesses. Lucas and Lambs went years ago, Sainburys and various other retailers now.
