my newly fixed and uprated heated seats

so iv had a chance to test my newly fixed and temprature uprated seats and i can report all is well iv been taking temp readings before and after with a hand held ir thermometer i will take some more readings and post the results here.

am very happy with the results sooooo any one else want their seats fixed? lol toasty

Andy I just read a few how to posts on here some very good stuff in search. If you just fix the broken seat elements then it a free fix I did cut out about an inch of burnt wire wound out the heating element to give plenty of play so it won't happen again. Then soldered it all up bit of heat shrink job done.

The uprated thermo stats cost me 99p from China lol.

I cut out the old hog rings and replaced with cable ties. I reckon an hour per seat and defo best removing the seat from the car.

Ive got p38 seats in my disco 200 ,
ive also had broken heating wires in the seat base,

ive replaced them with soms waeco car heating mats,
they are faultles for 5 years, en could get my eggs cookt on them !

You'll have DATA after you. He reckons that hot seats gives you galloping blotchwart or something. Me? I love roasted nuts and upgraded mine a couple of years ago. No problems so far,

So you're offering to do them? Mine need doing, and I never seem to get around to it...

(although to be honest, they're probably the least of my problems!!)

yeah no probs just get the uprated stats and il strip your seats down and fix them although your prob a bit far away. doesnt matter what other problems you have once you got toasty seats you do care any more lol

I did get some stats a while ago and even found them last week whilst moving house. No idea where the bleeding things are now though!

Am a bit closer now - Sandhurst.

no probs mate bring it round or i can swing by urs as ur localish and proberly have somewhere under cover to take your seats out
