My first FL, coming from a Megane convertible :) my Labrador is happy about the change.

Still struggling for a name Lara the landrover or Ferdie the Freelander are the favourites so far.

It might be prudent, at least until the warranty has expired, before you give a car a name, don't you think?

What engine doe's the FL2 have, have the belts been done or are they not due yet, what model is it S/SE etc
GS td4_e stop/start 2010. 5 services from the local LR dealer. Not sure if it needs the 100,00ish one soon. Will have to see when I need to service it when I get it.

Sounds like yours are not due yet, supposed to be 150,000 or 10 yrs which ever comes first, I was quite surprised when I read the 150,000 as I am used to going by the RMGZT V6 190 which are 90,000 or every 6yrs which ever come first, will be tackling mine midweek hopefully.
Gates belt kit, water pump, belt tensioner, pulley and new bolt. also auxiliary belt gates, Oat coolant,

Yes it's not near that it's around 100,000 so there is a bit extra at a 105,000 one or something like that? so i'll check if that needs doing on the next service, but no I've got around 3 years to save up for the big service. :)

Haha and so the expense begins....
I was happy with oh saying only £75 for stereo adapter kit, haha oh no, of course not, because it's got the Alpine stereo it's got a fibre optic lump etc... So that's another £250 for the correct connects2 adapter :) and so it begins......

Oh good news, I was going to shove the whole damn car on a credit card but managed to sort out a low interest loan today all signed off and still on schedule to pick it up Friday, have booked the day off to play :)

Haha. Cannot sleep it's like Xmas eve and being a kid.

Also reading about fun things that can go wrong, just learnt about haldex etc... fun and games ahead :)

Well good luck and hopefully the excitement will last long, I managed to change the belts on my Tango, turns out they must have been done about 18 months ago, 15,000 miles, gates timing belt removed Dayco auxiliary belt, so thought great seems that it as had good quality items fitted, then the water pump was removed cheap one with the plastic impeller, the tensioner was a spurious Chinese make, and the pulley again a no name make, all replaced by Gates kit with metal impeller, also gates auxiliary belt, OAT coolant, add a bit of drama in that the starter motor earth pole snapped off it, so had to be refurbished set us behind by a day, but started up last night and all seems well, finger s crossed for big test later to day when I can get to drive it.

Have fun and keep the posts coming
