Hi, my hazard lights wouldn't go off on my disco2 last night so I've had to disconnect the battery, after googling I tried the inertia switch and 'looked' at the fuses boxes and I really have no idea what im doing, any advice would be great please :)

So what was happening at the time the hazards started flashing? Driving into a large pot hole? Just looking at a fuse box does sod all, believe me. :)

What's happened after you reconnected the battery?

Don't know what a Disco switch is like, but on a Defender the switch could cause a lot of problems, and cheap to fix. But again, no idea what a Disco switch is like

Thank you for you responses! No 'ernie' had been parked all day, he turned over perfectly as normal and everything worked other than the hazard lights wouldn't turn off after ignition, but thankfully I found this and all is working now! I have no idea still but all is back to normal, for now ;)...

Just a thought but we had a lot of fireworks last night before the issue, could that have done it? although the alarm didn't sound

Better check first if your alarm sounds at all or not(let a window open, lock, reach in with your hand and wave or open the door... be prepared with the fob to unlock if it sounds), btw are your horns working first of all?.... cos i have the feeling it doesnt sound and your problem was a triggered alarm... that procedure which worked for you and the man who posted it IMO it's a coincidence cos it has no technical basis at all, a kinda "whichcraft" which can't be explained and AFAIK no such built in protocol was made by LR whatsoever... though i can accept that LR works in mysterious ways

The horn worked and the engine turned over fine, it's a bit late now to check the alarm but I will tomorrow, true no technical explanation it was halloween and I was on my to a ghosthunt, which I didn't make due to the issue, so maybe witchcraft!

It started fine, I drove it round the block just couldn't get the hazards off, anyway it's corrected itself now so fingers crossed it won't do it again, thanks for the suggestions :)

then we can consider it a haloween thing... though if it does it again this way remove and unplug the switch before anything else
