My handle went walkies

Typical, get back from being at sea for 3 weeks, go to work on the landy and some bar steward has knicked my starter handle from the drive on the same day the starter solenoid gives up!

Why not bridge the solenoid with a screwdriver?

Sorry, meant the starter solenoid on the motor. It spins but no engine turning

Hit it wiv a hammer as someone turns the key.

Cheers, will give it a go, not enough room to swing a cat in between the chassis and exhaust. May just remove it and clean it out, keep it reliable I hope.
