My alloys are starting to look a bit tatty, i was going to get modulars but think I might just get my alloys refurbed in black. Quick photoshop, what do you think?

Cheers lads, think I'm going to get it done.....as soon as I get paid.

Was thinking of getting mine done dark/black, not 100% sure though. So i have ordered a couple of tins of plastidip in black to see if i like it.

If it looks sh*t i can just peel it off

These are the new wheels, to get refurbed.



Picked these up today 18 of them in total, to go with the newly powder coated alloys.

Done a few things today.

Changed the wheel nuts, ready for the new wheels.

Old rusty one



New ones



Fitted new mud flaps, as old ones were rubbing.







And painted the back box black to stop it going rusty, bit shiney still but will dull down.

Picked up some genuine Land Rover mats, £6.75 off EBay.



New rear work light, will fit soon.

Got genuine carpet mats that came with the car, but wanted rubber ones for laning, camping etc.

i have a full set (got em for nowt)
was just asking cos i've a spare rear pair anorl if anyone wants them.

Picking up my other wheels from the powder coaters tomorrow.

Got the newly powder coated wheels fitted today. ;D

Looks very nice... i need to paint my rims too. What technology of restoration ?
Sandblasting, powdercoat, and clear on top coat?

The best wheel to fit a hippo with imho really nice mate. BTW where are you fitting the rear working light? roofrails? or did you have another position in mind?
