Here is the deal. My sister was driving my disco and some chick ran a red light and was meet with a bullbar in the side of her car going 25mph(50kmh)

The Nissan Pulsar was a write off the springs were pushed back over the top of her car. But unfortunately my Disc looked bad as well punctured the radiator and alot of panel damage as the bullbar was pushed back on the car

The Insurance Company came to me today and said it was a write off (ive been crying in my beer for the last 4hours)

They said it would cost 12,000 Dollers AUD For parts and paint not including labour. and about 8,000 for labour, they said i can make up the diffirence if i want.oh it insured for 12,000 about 6890 Pound

The Disco is a Series 2 with 60,000 Km on it. Do i get it fixed or just get drunk and forget about it

P.S im from aus ill work out the conversetions later :) i will post pics later when i get them of my sister

there real bad in aus for write offs. i spoke to my mate who is mechanic and said if i get it repaired **** will always being going wrong with it cause its being in a crash.he said just to leave it. He said they will sell it as parts at auction and it will be back on the roads as it will be rebirthed massive prob in aus. i just cant handle some one else driving around in my car

I did the very same thing here in wales this summer ( minus the bull bar) it took me about 2 weeks to repair ( some pics on here somewhere) and has been fine since ( apart from blowing a cooling hose while I was playing in the mud ) so as long as your chasis is straight and you're able to do much of the work yourself ( discos real easy to work on - not sure about nitty gritty on D2's though) it shouldnt take to much time - and you might get to build in some "enhancements" as part of the rebuild.

good luck
