Hi all I my 2000 D2 Td5 with 380000 kms on the clock, is having some problems, to meke it easy to explain (I´m from Chile), I will explain as ease as I can.

1. I bought it 2 yeas ago with 325000 kms, and good starting.
2. One year later, the star got a little longer, then I changed the wiring harnes, clean the ECU terminal and glow plugs (everything was the same after that).
3. I keep on using the LR.
4. 6 month ago, the LR stops when it was in lo revs, we take the FRP out and was very dirty, we checked and cleaned. The mechani told me thet the take some small filter frome one of the pipes that run frome the diesel filter. After that, the fuel pump sound a lot (It have never sound like that before) and wat it´s more wired to me it´s the fact taht If I have a miss start and wait for 5 second (with the key at OFF), the filter have to refuel the circuit again. Even more, when the LR is runing normally the fuel pump is running and you can hear it clearlly.

My guess is that I have no presure enough on the diesel circuit, then the star is long.

When the car is hot, everything is easier.

Somthing that could be relatated is some temperature sensor is giving rong information, because car is runing there is hot air coming from the vents.

I have a HAWKEYE and no faults, should I check some specific parametrs.

Anyway I love my two LR

Thanks

Ok, and what about the bobling like noise on the fuel pump every time evan when the car ir running?

I changed 1000 kms ago. After changing the injector o-ring and washer, do I need to calibrate them?

Thanks

Courtesy of CharlesY -:Rave says ..

6. Rotate engine clockwise until No 1 injector lobe
is at full lift.
7. Rotate rocker adjusting screw clockwise until
the injector plunger is felt to bottom out.
8. Rotate rocker adjusting screw anti-clockwise
one complete turn to give plunger the required
bump clearance and tighten rocker arm
adjusting screw locknut to 16 Nm (12 lbf.ft) .
9. Carry out above procedure for the remaining 4
rocker arms.

(Rave does not point out that for EACH cylinder you must rotate THAT injector rocker to full lift THEN adjust for bump clearance! So for item 6. above after you have adjusted No1, start again but change the "No 1" to No 2, then No3, then No4, then No 5, and you MUST turn the engine for each)

10. After completion of rocker arm adjustment,
slowly rotate engine clockwise 2 complete
turns by hand to ensure that no injectors are
bottoming out on their plungers.

Only need to calibrate them if you did not refit injectors to the cylinders where they came from. If you did mix and match, then ECU needs to be told.

As long as they went back in the same hole they came out of then no.

Have you re-torqued the injector clamp bolts? It could be that the injector washers have crushed and the securing bolts are now under-torqued.

Thanks a lot to everyone, problem 95% solved. I think I´m missing the air bleading valve, because when the LR is full of diesel start great, but with "half stomach", take a little bil longer
