Will have to get someone to help me next time then James! I turned the ignition on, walked round then attached meter probes, could have easily taken 4 secs, however it looks to me like some parts of the donor vehicle's loom may well have not been transferred to the trialer. Given the return path would there be any problem with running the pump all the time?

Is the pump high enough pressure output for efi?? It's not an cheap inline 5psi jobbie? It must be working to a degree the engine wouldn't run without it. But climbing a hill full throttle case? Could it cause problems??

List of things it could be is almost endless. Last hybrid that had issues would cut out on really long long climbs like what you get at Arena Essex was down to the fuel pickup pipe was in the front of the tank and no resovoir.

Not sure, is certainly an inline pump, no idea of the operating pressure. Fuel filter on the engine bay bulkhead is the size of a coke can. Pickup pipe is about a third back in the tank and tank was 3/4 full on the last outing. As you say, I assumed it must be working to some extent, but must be quiet as I've never heard it. Earliet today I#'d assumed the efi may have another pump of a low pressure section to draw fuel without the pump?
