Must be getting old

Wish there was more DIY service ramps around, I guess there's no money in it and the garages round here are too busy
I've got a small inspection pit in one of my garages at home, but the Landy is so tall it won't fit through the door... the pit is too shallow anyway, you end up with neck ache / back ache. it's actually easier to use a crawler to get under it

We used to have one of those on Debach air field, he used to charge by the hour, was a landy speciaalist*too.

*=specialized in scrapping old ones and trying to polish turds into Bentleys with price tags to suit.

I said to the missus if I won the lotto I would do something along those lines, a purpose built hangar with 5 individually lockable bays, no lifts in the bays but a gantry hoist with varying height stands for the vehicle to be lifted and dropped onto, 5 lifts would be expensive and take up a lot of space in the bays, this way the hoist could be used as an engine hoist as well as using it to pick up and move stuff around the hangar, concreted yard with a decent telehandler to move stuff around, could do a parts ordering service and use or return service on parts, I always fancied having a small fabrication shop and doing bucket repairs on digger buckets, HD bumpers etc.

But alas, my numbers never come up :(
