While i've been driving around with one prop, I've noticed that either my fuel gauge has stoped working or as im only driving one axle, my mpg has gone up. Anyone care to let me know? No funny answers, im too ****ed to reply!

Is fuel gauge stuck on full or just stuck halfway Mick? If full most likely to be fooked sender

Interesting thoguht on whether mpg would improve on driving just one axle - logically it probably should, but maybe only by 2 - 3 mpg

Haven't tested that theory, so may be bollix:D

Hope that's 'non funny' enough for you!

All sobered up now.
My fuel guage is " un-reliable" to say the least. I gauge half full as nearly empty as its nearly caught me out a few times. Its because I always have an eye on it just as its approaching the half way point, I noticed it seemed to take longer to get there. I have also been booting it when on the odd ocasion the speedo stops bounching around and stablises, I've been seeing how fast It can go since new 5th gearing and playing with injecter pump.
All stupid reasons accepted now:)

One of my least favourite journeys home from work involved loosing power and the engine cutting out about every 200m, including going uphill through a town high street.

I was getting a bit "upset" at the time.

It turned out that the half tank of fuel showing on the gauge was by that point merely fictitious and that the sender had packed up
