That'd be why the US Rangers and Special Forces binned em all and use Landies then..

You should be well pleased then, the good Landy chassis combined with the better looks of a Hummer, what a combo.

That's what I was saying... the H1 has vastly superior looks when compared with a Freelander, Defender, Rangerover, Discovery, Series etc.

You won't get any arguement from me, I couldn't agree more.

apparently you are the only one incapable of editing a quote

Well make yer mind up, either I can or can't edit quotes.
Take yer time working it out, we're not in any hurry............zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

The shell was mounted today. There are a lot of adjustments still to be done.
New pictures uploaded in the gallery .

hell of a project but why not just go for a hummer rebuild on a hummer chassis? what engine you planning for this beast? needs to be at least a 4 litre no? and as for all the haters out there, for f**k sake, how many of you can honestly say; if some one dangled the keys to a military spec H1 in your face, you'd say "ooh no, couldn't possibly accept that, ooh no its an american car, ooh its rubbish" - BOLLOX that vehicle is tough as f**k and looks it too

I could not get hold of an H1 chassis-
Plus I got the shell in a scrap yard and bought it for $450/- I have kept everything from my old disco intact within the shell including the bulk head which you cant see right now as it is under the cover. You will see (hopefully) in due course when the project progresses - Next stop- Front seats

Well said Saxon101, Just the exact point I was trying to make before all the gaylord heroes came crawling out of the woodwork.

Keep us updated on this Hummer doc It's one ballsy project, & like Saxon, I'm interested in what your engine plans are. $450 for a Hummer shell, no wonder you snapped it up. Good luck

Hi Guys
Fixed the front seats today. Look at the new pictures.
As you can see that there is a of space where the central console used to be. So I would probably have to customize and fabricate a much wider console.
