Had mine done last month and the tester put two advisories on.
1) engine undertray obscuring some items
2) engine cover obscuring some items in engine bay
I couldn't believe it.

Well it failed on emissions

so new cat to be fitted this weekend and when i spoke to him on the phone he said 2 advisorys slight exhaust blow on the centre section and his words were "Brakes arnt over savage"

1.8 k series on a Vplate (99 ithink) we bought it with a knackered engine with the intension of totaly rebuilding witch i have done (gutted about the emissions tho) only paid a couple of hundred quid for the car so with a complete engine rebuild we still have a cheap freelander

forgot to add very impressed with the freelander. being a complete disco fan or series fan when the wife said she liked the look off the freelander i was doubtfull but went and looked anyway. Just sitting in it i was impressed with it (must admit more comfy than the disco:5bredface

so it was on the trailer and home for the work to begin.

Had a Beemer pass at kwik**** earlier this year with an advisory that the engine undertray was obscuring some inspection areas.
When I queried this they said it was a standard notification for this to be added to all vehicles where they cannot see the bottom of the engine, even though there isn't anything mot'able under there!!!!!!

took me disco to HALFORDS for mot was adviced oil leak from engine I told them it wasnt an oil leak it was just rust proofing it's self

report these MOT inspectors they can not give you any advisory that it fitted by the manafactors also on a 1999 car i am sure i am right in saying that the cat is not mot issue as they do not have to have one
