Mot

Voted with my feet as far as kwik **** are concerned. Would never go there again.
It took the Sevenoaks branch 3 go's to fit my rear box before they sealed it right!

They have a "were you satisfied with our service" survey which is emailed to you after work is done and I did complain about both the exhaust fit and the mot advisory.

No reply of course......No wonder they dropped the "Can't get better" slogan.

Iirc you are half rite! The cat doesn't need to be there for the Mot but if it is it must function correctly.

Even if its not there its still got to pass the cat test a that age tho! Unless its not on the computer system then the default test is the old fashioned non cat test! It's complicated I'd bung some cataclean in it and thrash the **** out of it, worked on my last emissions failure

luckily i get staff discount at a large auto spares chain so i bought a new exhaust section new cat and all fittings. had to fork out £95 for the lot but get £25 back on the old cat so cant complain. the retail price for the exhaust was £47 and the cat was £75 so i got a good deal just got to fit them saturday. No doubt the weather will be ****ing down with rain as i cant get the freelander in me garage DD how high was your emissions ?

Exactly the same on mine today. The tester said it was an arse-covering note as they couldn't see some items so therefore could not test them??

Still. Passed, no other advisories and emissions were:- Max = 0.10 Result = 0.01 & Max = 1.50 and result = 0.56 so well pleased.

This is with a Synergy 2e and Redex and 2 stroke oil in the diesel.

I did ask about the brake test. Said he took it out with another operator and used a meter.
