MOT Suspension advisories

• Nearside and offside Front Suspension arm has slight play in a pin/bush (2.4.G.2)

Have checked through everything, looks nice, runs well, no known issues, all major issues already sorted cam, compressor, handbrake mod etc.

However on the last MOT it has 2 advisories

• Nearside and offside Front Suspension arm has slight play in a pin/bush (2.4.G.2)

As this will be my first disco, is this something to be concerned about, or is it an easy fix in due course.
Also does anyone recommend West 4x4 in Southampton as they're my local LR repair shop.

may i ask what year is it plse, auto, manual, mileage , D3 do indeed eat bushes as there a heavy vehicle

before u buy it i would get them to replace them , along with a 12 month mot

may i ask , do u know about the oil pump cover issues

sorry don’t know that company, wonder if there’s any reviews online

MOT is until August next year, so not sure if they'd want to put it through again.

good to hear the guide was useful to u , its not easy to check ref the oil pump cover , it’s normally from 2007 , however i’ve heard of them also going before then

only way to check is to get the cam belt covers all off , often wonder if a periscope type camera might be useful to save taking bits off, but is always essential to ensure it’s the upgraded one

as it’s a garage will they at least sort out those bushes for u , if it’s the lower ones it also needs 4 x wheel alignment done after there replaced

Hi Stuart, decided against it in the end. It was a lovely vehicle but had been used as a tractor for years with a lot of heavy towing. Also no service book to be seen, so couldn't be sure on how well it had been looked after. Bloke tried the hard sell, so I walked away.

have u checked out the D3 forum as members upgrade to a D4 and at least u know the members who have been on there a while look after them

it’s taken me a year to get mine up to scratch , but knew that on buying it
