MOT query

Hi all

Just a quick question, will an oil leak from the rocker cover gaskes (D2 V8) fail an MOT ?

Thanks no, it just leaks onto the front diff and sump really. I understand that a misfire could affect emissions though ? Need to change / check coil packs / leads / plugs to rectify the misfire (hopefully)

Mine passed its mot last week with a rocker cover leak and a leaking front diff .asked the mot chap if it would ever fail on a oil leak and he said only if on the brakes or exhaust ,

you might get an advisory... for the tenner it'll cost surely you'd get the rocker gasket done?

Well yes I actually gave the parts including valley gasket but its getting the time to do it and it looks quite daunting - I'm bound to bollox it up somehow !!
