Hello everyone... just joined after finding this site on Google. I'm sure it will be interesting and useful for information and advice in keeping my Freelander fully functioning! I've recently moved to rural SW France and LR garages are as rare as rocking-horse doo-dah. Cheers, Paul

Welcome to Loonyzone, Paul:D

hope yu read a few threads before yu joined up to get a flavour of what the zone is like.

you aint a relative of Paulb are ya?

Thanks for the welcome chaps (and chapesses just to be pc). No relation to PaulB - never heard of 'im :).
Hi Slob - you live in la belle France I gather. I'm in Haute-Garonne (31) and stuck with dial-up 'cos France Telecom won't wire me up for ADSL. With e-v-e-r-s-o-s-l-o-w dial-up I won't be lurking on this site as often as I'd like. Bonsoir

have you tried going to neuf9? france telecon nor tiscali wint do me either so i swapped to neuf9

Tried 'em all. My problem is my line cannot to be enabled for ADSL until FT decide to run a new 1km cable from the village to me and the next door neighbour, so until they do that none of the other providers can give me broadband. It's either satellite or there's a rumour that our area will be WiMaxed in October, so everybody will be able to have it. I'll believe it when it happens!

thats what they all told me then i tried neuf 9 and they did it. dunno how or why the rest couldn't and i dint care cos i've got broadband now. after FT told me they dint got plans fer a digital line to my outpost never mind the village 4 miles away.

so where is (31) near?
