Went out yesterday(without caravan), about 25 miles, no problem. Engine did not overheat, run very nicely. Thought, okay give it a go with the caravan this morning. Started car, ''on the button' as usual, drove out of the driveway and it started to miss a beat. At the same time there was a tiny puff of white smoke from the exhaust. The engine also cut out a couple of times. Engine was cold at this time.
We have had overheating problems and replaced radiator, stat, water pump, belts, tensioner, pressure cap etc. All seemed okay till last week when we took the caravan for a run and got a about 5 miles or so and on a long drag it started to overheat. Did not get into the red however.
Just a though, recently changed the fuel filter, could it be a dodgy fitler caising starvation?
Any suggestions PLEASE
