OK, back in the world of Landrover, after a long break! Hello all!
New to the forum, and none too techy. Well, I'll let you think that for now until I've found my feet! (though I'm struggling with some of the TLA's on here! Far too many for my liking!)
My first was an H reg Defender 110 CSW, which nearly killed me, and the engine was seized/non-runner at the time. Its a long story!
Just bought a 2001 Freelander TD4 SE Auto. Different beast altogether! Was cheap for a TD4, is a great runner (has a FSH) but needs loads of cosmetic TLC, as it was much loved but rarely cleaned! A weekend of scrubbing, shares in Autoglym, lots of shopping for parts on ebay and some Landy love and its now looking very tidy! The only bug I've found so far is that twice the b*gg*r wouldn't start, though I've discovered a wiggle of the leads on the starter motor deals with this... fine for me, but Mrs Mojoke won't be pleased if it happens to her... Any thoughts would be appreciated, but no Freelander jokes please, I have already spotted there are some here who think freelanders are unreliable toys!
