mods or not, declare or not, i dont know..

What do people class as mods that are worth declaring, it seems different for a land rover than your usual car as you have things like steering guards, axle guards, back window tints, tree/ rock sliders.

it would be good to hear an opinion on that. i dont know what is acceptable as im new to owning a land rover

I list the following on my almost standard Disco
Tow bar
Spot lights
Work lights
CB radio
No standard Radio / CD player.
Twin Batteries.
Complete set of spare more aggressive tyres that I swap out for laning.
Now this looks like minor stuff but in the event of a claim they will try and not pay you, they have a whole department whose job it is to get the company out of paying you by any means possible.
AS above list everything and let them decide, many brokers have special policies just for our type of vehicle so its not a problem but best declare everything

As mentioned, it's vital to declare everything - however minor you may feel it is.

A specialist insurer won't usually charge an additional premium for cosmetic modifications, so be thorough.

spoke to Lancaster this morning about the new off-roader I'm getting.. I've decided to upgrade to an agreed value policy when I've done all the mods to it as even with the mods declared I'd only get market value for my current off-roader.. when I do I will report the difference in premiums.. if I haven't had to sell my laptop..
