Ok im in the ****!! I got 2 female outlets in my dash next to my MOD Light switch. The Posotive wire has shorted out and burned the insulation all the way down to the main loom! Scary stuff as its not fused but luckily the wire burned in half and stopped shorting out before a fire. I cant get my hands in behind the dash to re-wire it or at least cut it of and insulate it without taking the whole dash apart. Does any one know where the hell the ends of these wires are going?

It is an unswitched & unfused supply that comes from the starter motor terminal that is fed from the battery.

Ok I had another go at it, your right it comes from the starter solenoid but the specific wire is spliced into one of the 2 main thick brown wires coming from the solenoid (or connector block) that run behind the dash. It seems the third wire that has shorted is spliced right behind the dash so im gonna have to take the whole dash out to remedy it!! Just don`t understand why the MOD has so many live wires floating about without fuses!!! Thanks for the help mate.

hope these are of help
