Got a puncture on my front passenger side so jacked up whipped the wheel of down for repair put it back on let the jack down hey presto job done.......except when it has been on the jack obviously the rear has gone down on its airbags.I have had these replaced in the middle of last year so they should be alright, anyway I started it up and shut the doors so the interia light goes off and the suspension can do its thing only it hasn't it is still dragging its arse on the floor coould this be down to the fact that some fluid has frozen in the air lines and thats it. is there anything I can do to fix it or do I have to wait until warmer climates, I have checked the prices of compressor thing and nearly fell of my chair..

please help

I take it it's a td5 after not using mine for a week or 2 it'd be on its arse and after i started it 10 mins later it was the same i took it for a short drive and it went to normal position after that i sold it bought a 300tdi

yea TD5 must admit it doesn't get a lot of use at the mo as I am off sick will it be a case of just letting it warm through then and is it safe to drive with its arse down

I wouldn't go far just drive it 50 yards or so see if it makes a difference

Have you tried pressing the off road button, this should jack it up to off road height, once it has done so press it again and it should sit back down to its normal height. This must be done with doors shut and the engine running. If this does not work then it looks like it might be a compressor problem.

well drove it over to the guys at nene overland to look at this morning and they fixed it, it had blown the fuse on the relay ( I did check the fuse in the fuse box before you ask) so cheaper than a new compressor anyway this might be of note my compressor is rattling and is near the end of its life, I was told that when I had the bags done in the summer because I drove around for a while before I got them done that is what has probably shortened the life of the compressor,
so get your bags done asap and don't drive around for ages thinking about it if they need doing.
oh and when I got home I have picked up a second hand compressor of evilbay for £41 so that will be sitting on the shelf ready for its call up to duty.

so not as badder day as I thought

oh and another mention to the guys at nene overland as the fitted me in thismorning and I hadn't booked in and I can't think of a nicer garage waiting room than theres with a huge wood burner to gaze into
