MM on ipad install

Does anyone know of a link that can help me put MM onto my iPad, people I've spoken to and searches i have done makes it sound beyond my tech know how.
I use a mac at home so i can't use that or can i?, I know i could run a copy of windows on the mac in a partition but surely there must be an easier way.i have an old pc laptop but if i sync to that i will lose everything when i sync back to the mac, i have kosher 2012 discs and all licenses. any info greatly appreciated.

Load app to iPad through the app store costs £4.99.
Connect to mac. Open iTunes and click on mm app which then gives you the option to download maps. Drag drop sync.
That's how I did mine

Got the app on iPad, i want to take them off disc not from map store, or do you mean put disc into mac

I think this is how I go them copied over. When they first loaded it asked for the licence number.

Yes I have loaded mm on to my laptop to.
Once the maps are on it you just click on app and it give you the option to upload maps. Then sync. Obviously this uses two of your user licences

Thanks for that link Nick, think its all sorted, will email overlays because can't seem to be able to copy those.
If your around this way wednesday anyway pop in for a coffee.

Got it all sorted ,just one more thing on iPad it does not have the icons at top of screen is there a setting to get them or is it not on iPad version.

Shiny new 2012 maps, very nice. nudge nudge wink wink ;-)

Seems to be working sort of ok, gps slow to find. I don't have any icons at top of screen like with pc version, is that the way it's set up on ipad or can I change settings?. Also when I copied from my pc laptop I do not have a find place index is that in a separate file that I need to download, all help gratefully accepted.
