Mixing tyre treads?

Can I have your thoughts on mixing tyre treads.

I currently have BFG A/T 235/85/16 all round but my front 2 are down to 4-5mm and what with winter on its way i'm thinking about replacing them with 2 new BFG trac edge tires also 235/85/16.

Is this ok? As long as there on the same axle they shouldn't be a problem?

I have seen posts saying its ok to mix A/T and H/T...

Keep them on the same axle never heard of anybody having problems.

i have goodyear g90s on the front and general sag radials on the back and my 90 drives fine like that. so you should be ok
