Went for the hot pin through the nail option this morning, after a bit of research on good old YouTube. Released the pressure and feels much better now. I wish I had done it on Friday now. No pain at all from the nail but I recon it must be broken at the tip of the bone.

Still doesn't look as sore as that pic above tho.

it weren't pleasant !
may be worth getting xrays if yer unsure.
getting used to it now, the nails gone and the new one growing. still need to be careful what I do with it. the bone was bust about 3mm after the knuckle and due to a bit of bad pinning it now aint gonna heal. hospital say if it causes problems to get the joint taken out and fix it into a half bent position

nasty but know how you feel there disopol has been visiting me and we got GLU the grumpy 88 with a locker in the back end up and running and hit the forest with the disco and burnt a lot of midnight oil repairing the disco nabbing the winch off my 2a and fitting it on GLU got up in the forest great fun then the engine started playing up so really not enjoyable but still nice

get a pair of pliers and give it a quick yank( no pun intended) then soak in warm soapy water to get it clean and then air it out.
