i recently whipped my 3.5 engine out to replace rear main, clutch, fork and release bearing. didnt touch anything on the engine leads wise etc but since ive put it back in it seems to have developed a missfire when in say 4th gear at 1500 rpm it judders and missfires then spitts flames out of the exhaust like its over fueling. ive put new leads and plugs in since but still does it. the coil is semi new so just have run out of ideas. anyone help

ive tried all that, but thats the thing didnt touch anything. ive had a few mates have had alook who are mechanics and they are stumped by it. going to try some su carbs that ive got lying around and see wot happens with them. its just god dam annoying to be honest

I know it's obvious, but sounds like a fault I had previously, change the dist cap and rotor.

Owing to the high price of this job, I had changed about every thing else before I did it.

Cheers and good luck
