hey guys pretty new to this lark,

me and my mate are in the process of getting a 200tdi disco just for these pay and play days, am I right in saying the vehicle does not need to be taxed and MOT'd? as we would like to trailer it there and back

it all looks a bit serious to me lol, was thinking of coming up for a look on the 7th, but my disco is only on BF AT's and my mate is on Wrangler MT's and I fear we would be hated by the end of the day as we would be getting towed out all day lol :p

cheers gang, Nick

You don't need tax mot licence or insurance at minety.

The deal at minety is that if someone gets stuck then you stop and help. Unless you are on extreme lifts and tyres you will get stuck if it is very wet. You wont be hated though. Pulling people out is part and parcel of the fun.

Cheers Ratty!

Hmm, might convince my mate to take his for a look, hes got steering guard and different bumpers, might be the best bet.

Will you be up there on the 7th, ratty?

cheers Nick

hmmm thats a shame

we have got the bug from laning around the area, but I can see us both breaking something soon, so a really cheap 200tdi and having no worries is the order of the day haha

anyone else going to Minety?

Just make sure that your recovery points are good. It can be very boggy. If you get stuck you will need a decent recovery point.

If you are in standard vehicles keep out of the woods as they contain deep water. Just follow the main route around the fields and you'll be fine.

There is not a lot of places there that you can damage your vehicle.

so you think i will get round (or at least 5 metres at a time lol) on BF AT's ratty? I've had a shock going up some of the lanes with those tyres, my mate pee's it on his wranglers but I seriously do not rate the BF's, I know they are like 60/40's but I expected more grip

all I've got on my disco is the standard tow points, hmmm

That picture of me stuck at minety is me with bfg at's on the rear and khumos on the front. I only got stuck properly that once. I got semi stuck once too but that once was the only time I couldn't get myself out.

On a dry day you can make it no probs on road tyres.

Make sure you fit your tow straps to your tow points before you get in the mud so you don't have to dig your way to the tow points if/when you do get stuck.

Unless you have extreme (open tread) tyres your tread will fill up reducing grip as will everyone elses. This will even the odds.;)

Thanks for the advice, top man.

I'll be there on 7th, if anyone on here is going, I'll be the under prepared lad stuck, waving his arms lol

Cheers, Nick
