Hi
I placed two bottles of milk on my back seat behind the drivers seat, had to brake into a passing place on the way home, one of the bottles fell off the seat and split covering the rear carpet. while cleaning it up the rear doors started clicking, and I also noticed my rear fog lights were permanently on which quickly killed my battery, I knew from passed experience that the lights are controlled through the BECM.
From taking advice from a facebook forum I decided to remove the BECM and inspect and clean with electronic spray, found some staining put everything back together in the car, the car started and the fog lights seems to be sorted. the problem I still have is the drivers rear door just wont unlock. When using my key from fob or manually only the front doors work, I can do the PASSENGER rear door manually lock it and open it but doesn't work with the key or fob and nothing at all with DRIVERS side rear door. No advice from Facebook forum so though I would ask you guys...…….How do I sort my rear door problem?

Now then, it could be the door latch has given up due to the calcium overdose!!!
I had a rear latch fail and locked me out and caused an immobilized state.

You will have to remove the door card from the inside and gain access.
Mine was powered open with a battery. This may not be your case. ;)

Hi Colin. take door card off front drivers door and rear side door drivers side , use a mirror and torch and have a good look for trapped / unplugged wires and connectors on both doors , then use some electrical contact spray on microswitches in front door clean with a old toothbrush lightly and allow to dry same with rear door , it sounds like CDL switch to me , also why would u get any info for P38S on facebook ???????? L.O.L. nevermind ay lad . hope this helps ,regards Mozz .. P.S. Tip of the week , get an old milk crate off the local milkman & put in the boot for future ref , B.E.C.M.,s are NOT cheap , milk crates are free ,

Hi
Yes already sorted a better way to carry the milk which by the way was for my catering trailer.
So you don't reckon the problem with my rear door is still BECM related, its just that when it initially happened I heard a lot clicking and buzzing from the rear doors.
another problem which has been on and off is my front passenger window, sometimes works, yesterday ok, but today went down but wont go back up.

Faults with the BECM usually cause things to work when you don't want them to! o_O

Mine had no Milk in it though, just crusty bits

My money is the lock actuator motor is toast. They're only designed to get a pulse of current so if the milk caused a constant signal it will burn out, possibly superlocking too!

Hi
Well I'm going to for that then, what problems is this superlocking going to cause me, I have another actuator so can do a quick swap, would I be able to just plug in and it might unlock, will this also cure the central locking problem on the rear doors?

I thought only the driver's rear door wouldn't unlock except by the sill button? If sill button works it isn't superlocked. Try changing the motor in the actuator in that door, or a whole new one if you have it. Rears are different to the front but motors are the same iirc.

Hi
The problems are
1 Drivers rear door won't unlock, from outside or inside, or work with my key or fob
2 Passenger side rear door opens and can be locked manually with door button, but doesn't work with key or fob
3 Passenger side window will not close
4 The front doors work on the key and with my fob.
