Interesting question here : I have a FFR junction box PRC5480 that has a shunt in side suitable for enabling current to be measured. Does anyone here either know the resistance of this shunt or the spec of the ammeter (which will actually measure millivolts) that this shunt is used for. I want to buy an ammeter but I want to get the right one.

Hi and welcome!

You might get more info from the ex military Land Rover club. Your question sounds quite specialised.

Hi
I'm just sorting this myself. The shunt is for the 100 amp ammeter .According to the numbers I've been looking at it's a 95 amp shunt for the prc5485 ammeter the shunt should be prc5483
I'm fitting a cav ammeter which were original fit probably on the series vehicles

Could you measure the resistance yourself or is yours broke'd?
