Hi, Is the Ser 3 Military 24V chassis different from a civilian one or different in a minor way where a chassis change out would be possible or even possible to adjust the civilian chassis to suit.
Murray.

The military series chassis has an removeable gearbox cross member and the rear cross member is square across its width with no PTO hole. The military fitted extended spring hangers to raise the ride height, I think the front dumb irons were changed to accommodate these. See here:

Thanks wireman, that gives me a good insight into making a decision on my 109, hope to get it on a ramp soon and give it a good check over and see exactly how bad its is, rear cross member is rotten for a start. Nice image of your 109.

Thanks, sadly I no longer own it otherwise I'd be able to take more photos of the chassis for you.

Quite different. Gear box crossmember different, dumb irons very different - longer, thicker and ride hieght 2" lift. Rear outrigger different - 2" lift. Rear crossmember very different, thicker, box , no taper, and reinforced for NATO hitch.
