Yoda the Landrover Master(Derek Allfrey in Kirdford, west sussex) has a lovely old 109 military hardtop which he has taken in payment for other works.
It is very solid, and although from the 1970's it has a 1984 reg, but the military plates are still with it.
it is a funny sort of yellow/green colour.
Derek tells me it is a winterised 24V General purpose, whatever that means - frankly I wasn't aware that Army landies were given ranks, but as this one was a general it must have been very important.
He spent an hour on it making sure all the lights worked, serviced it and gave it a good run and took it for MOT - WHICH IT PASSED WITH NO ADVISORIES!!!!
I took it for a run - drives very nicely and reached 60 on the billingshurst bypass with no problem - the engine is a peach and silent at tickover.
The best thing is the furnace heater that sits between the seats - amazing thing.
If anyone is intetersted he will take £1350 for it otherwise he will just use it as a garage runabout. his number is 07793 238964
