204,147 miles.....
Yesterday I found the time to replace the low pressure fuel pump and fuel filter and changed the engine oil. Off to Liverpool this afternoon to pick stuff up for my eldest Grandson so will see if "limp home" is cured.
Things still to do:
An intermittent coolant leak, it can go weeks without losing a drop then lose a little bit every day for a week, keeping an eye on it for now.
A gradual loss of fluid from the clutch master cylinder, topping up every 2 or 3 days is keeping on top of it for now. I'm hoping the leak isn't from the slave cylinder.
Rear window cable mechanism still wants doing, I've got the kit but haven't found time to do it.
Passenger side electric window hasn't worked for ages , switch is ok as is the fuse so need to investigate behind door panel.
Replace one of the tiny rear door handle springs which broke recently.
Replace the four wheel drive components that came with it but were never fitted....Nah, sod that, it's only used for motorway bashing and dog transport so not really important at this time.

Wow, I can't believe it's 10 months since my last post, Time really does fly.. The Freelander is still in daily use and now beyond 215.000 miles, even the Duracell bunny can't believe how this thing goes on, and on, and on. It coasted through the mot in January with only one advisory, n.s.r suspension arm bush worn but not excessively. On the down side I still get MIL and go into limp home mode at Motorway.speed, All intercooler pipework has been replaced, low pressure and high pressure fuel pumps replaced/reconditoned, fuel and oil filters, air filter, crankcase breather all replaced, EGR bypass kit fitted, accessory belt replaced and todays task all engine bay wiring connections checked/cleaned. Which leads me to the yellow relay and 2x20amp fuses mounted in a plastic bracket on the slam panel near the battery. Anyone any clue what it's for? I can't find any reference to it..The purple wire to one of the fuses was corroded and detached. It didn't seem to make any difference to the running of the car so I did a quick bodge with anothe fuse holder for the time being.
